Making a Choice for Child Care

Choosing a child care provider that meets the needs of both parent and child can be a daunting task. Families most certainly ask,

  • “Can I trust this person?”
  • “Is this a safe and healthy place for my child?”
  • “What is quality care anyway?”

As parents and/or guardians of young children, choosing care for them while you are at work or school is perhaps one of the most important decisions you will make for them.  It is a major decision that will affect both your child’s future and yours.  Issues of trust, health and safety, and Quality all will come into play in making this decision.

Information on this website and contact with yourlocal Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) Agency can assist families through the process of choosing an appropriate child care provider.  You can search for care, find out what Quality indicators look like, and access other helpful family resources.
